The Department of Special Needs and Inclusive Education is one of the academic units of Faculty of Education at the University of Gondar. The Department was opened in 2010 and has been and is offering training in Special Needs and Inclusive Education in BA and MA programs. Since it began providing education and training since the beginning of 2010/2011 academic year, it is working different activities to support the Education system achieve its goals by preparing highly qualified professionals in the fields of Special Needs and Inclusive Education. The Department has, nine male and five female, a total of fourteen academic staff. Of this number, two of them are PhD, five of them are PhD Candidates and seven of them are MA holders. The department has graduated many students in the above fields and at the moment it has total of 353 students in all the above listed fields
